What is Brave Zone?

The Brave Zone program trains LVC students, faculty, and staff with the goal of creating a campus environment that is welcoming and supportive for people of all genders and orientations.

Brave Zone 101

Brave Zone 101 covers the fundamentals. A large portion of the program focuses on education about gender identity and expression, romantic and sexual orientation, inclusive social strategies, and navigating coming-out conversations. Participants are provided with tools for reflecting on their own identity and practical skills they can use in their classrooms, workplaces, and home lives. Good allyship is emphasized.

After the training, participants receive a Brave Zone placard that they can display. Keep an eye out for them around campus! Thus far, hundreds of LVC students, staff, faculty, and administrators have participated in this important training program.
