100% of 鶹ƽ Nursing Grads Pass NCLEX

LVC Nursing Class of 2026 poses on Arnold Health Professions Pavilion front steps

Key Points:

  • 100% of the inaugural graduating class of the PAM Health School of Nursing passed the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX).
  • Passing the NCLEX is required for Bachelor of Science in Nursing students to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the U.S. and Canada.

The first class to graduate from 鶹ƽ’s (LVC’s) PAM Health School of Nursing has achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). All 24 students who earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from LVC in May will be eligible to practice as Registered Nurses in the United States and Canada once licensed.

“This milestone achievement reflects our students’ academic preparation and readiness to enter the profession,” said Dr. Michelle Maldonado, LVC Provost. “We are grateful to the faculty for their close mentorship of the students and their expertise, and to PAM Health for its investment in our Nursing Program. LVC shares PAM Health’s commitment to improving lives through education, healthcare, and service.”

At the PAM Health School of Nursing at LVC, BSN students enhance patient care skills in a modern nursing lab, high-tech simulation center, and within local healthcare facilities. Coursework combines patient care knowledge with immersive learning experiences using high-fidelity manikins and an interactive anatomy table, along with engaged classroom learning activities while fostering critical soft skills such as communication, clinical judgment, and cultural competence.

Dr. Terri Worthey, Nursing Program Chair at the PAM Health School of Nursing, said, “Our inaugural BSN Class of 2026 100% NCLEX pass rate demonstrates the quality of our program and the determination of our graduates. We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment and of the future RNs who represent PAM Health School of Nursing at LVC.”

Several local agencies serve as clinical learning environments for LVC nursing students, including Cornwall Manor, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Lancaster General Hospital, WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, the VA hospital, and several community health sites. Clinical experiences challenge students to integrate skills and knowledge learned in the classroom and apply them to current nursing practice. Students develop problem-solving skills and build collaborative relationships during these immersive experiences.

“The success of our BSN graduates addresses the critical need for excellent nurses,” said Maldonado. “The first class made history and laid the groundwork for future LVC BSN students. More importantly, they are now prepared to make a difference in patients’ lives.”
