{"id":1211,"date":"2022-10-06T19:24:54","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T19:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lvc.edu\/admission-aid\/?page_id=1211"},"modified":"2025-09-29T10:59:41","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T14:59:41","slug":"part-time-undergraduate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lvc.edu\/admission-aid\/financial-aid-costs\/apply-financial-aid\/part-time-undergraduate\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial Aid for Part-Time Undergraduate Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<section\n    class=\"\n        basic-hero\n                    basic-hero--no-image\n            \"\n    >\n        <div class=\"basic-hero__inner\">\n        <h1 class=\"basic-hero__heading\">\n            <div class=\"basic-hero__heading-text-container\">\n                                    <span class=\"basic-hero__heading-text \">Financial Aid for Part-time Undergraduate Students<\/span>\n                            <\/div>\n        <\/h1>\n        <div class=\"basic-hero__breadcrumbs\">\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section\n    class=\"body body--white body--line-left body--line-left-yellow body--line-left-full \"\n    >\n    <div class=\"body__container\">\n                <div class=\"body__content\">\n            <p>Part-time undergraduate students are eligible for financial aid if they meet these requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrolled in at least\u00a06 credits in each\u00a0semester<\/li>\n<li>Have made <a href=\"\/admission-aid\/financial-aid-costs\/eligibility\/satisfactory-academic-progress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">satisfactory academic progress<\/a> during previous terms in which they attended<\/li>\n<li>Are not in default on a previous educational loan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once students determine if they qualify, the following steps must be completed\u00a0to be considered for federal and state grants and loans.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) listing Â鶹Æƽâ (LVC&#8217;s federal school code for use on the FAFSA is 003288). If you are enrolling for the academic year starting Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027, file the 2026-2027 FAFSA, which is currently available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentaid.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.studentaid.gov<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Undergraduate Pennsylvania residents filing the FAFSA prior to May 1 are automatically considered for the PA State Grant. Residents of other states should contact their state grant agency for procedures to determine eligibility.<\/li>\n<li>Students whose FAFSA is selected by the federal government to complete a process called Verification, will be required to submit additional documents to the Financial Aid Office. No federal aid will be processed until verification is complete. If you have already received your financial aid offer and have been subsequently selected for Verification, federal aid will be rescinded if Verification is not completed.<\/li>\n<li>If you are planning to borrow during the summer term, please complete the Summer Financial Aid Application that is available in April in addition to filing the FAFSA.<\/li>\n<li>After reviewing your financial aid offer in AccessLVC, you must accept\/reduce\/decline your federal student loan(s) in order to have your loans processed or canceled. Offers will be reviewed at the beginning of each semester as your eligibility for aid is partially determined by your enrollment costs.
