For financial aid purposes, students are now considered to be independent- no parental information is needed on the FASFA.<\/li>\n<li>Since the first bachelor\u2019s degree has been earned, students are no longer eligible to receive federal, state, or institutional grants and scholarships.<\/li>\n<li>Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan eligibility increases to a maximum of $20,500 for two semesters. Interest will accrue during all periods (during enrollment, grace period, and repayment). Students may borrow up to the total cost of education minus other financial aid. Students enrolled for a minimum of 4.5 credits per semester (including summer), may borrow the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan without reducing borrowing eligibility for other semesters.
